Finding aid available
All the materials were donated by Jonathan Finkelstein in August 2012. The donation, which was accessioned as UARC 2012-010, included 2.5 boxes. One box of records was removed from this collection to be included in Collection 53, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences records.
The Jonathan Finkelstein papers were processed by graduate assistant Johanna Schein under the supervision of the Special Collections Archivist Lindsey Loeper. The records were largely unorganized when received. With the assistance of the donor, the papers were sorted by subject and new folder titles were created. Folders were then separated into two series, and arranged alphabetically within each series. A handful of records were already in folders when received; in those instances, the original folder title was retained. For preservation purposes, original copies of newspaper and journal advertisements were copied, and the original clippings and journals were removed.
