The spirit medium, Dorothy Sherry, was not a famous one &#8211; rather, it was reported that Sherry was a normal housewife at the time of recording who happened to come into contact with Presley&#8217;s spirit on several occasions. As Hans Holzer, a prolific parapsychologist who was following Sherry&#8217;s story, writes in his book <em>Elvis Speaks from the Beyond<\/em>, &#8220;Dorothy still couldn&#8217;t get used to the idea that it was really [Elvis], and she began to worry about her sanity.&#8221; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-content-justification-right is-nowrap is-layout-flex wp-container-1 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<p>As a part of the recorded s\u00e9ance, Holzer made inquires to both Sherry and Elvis Presley&#8217;s spirit. Also present were Dee Presley, David Stanley, and Dan Schwartz, who were Elvis Presley&#8217;s stepmother, stepbrother, and a reporter from the <em>National Inquirer<\/em>, respectively.<br><br>This s\u00e9ance was considered to be one of the more credible communications with the late singer&#8217;s spirit thanks to verification from both Dee Presley and David Stanley.
