He joined the faculty at UMBC in January 1967 during its first academic year. He taught in the Biological Sciences department for 32 years and remained active in the UMBC community after his retirement.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"provenance\">Provenance Information<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Collection donated to Special Collections from Library Adminstration, where Dr. Burchard&#8217;s office was located, UARC 2013-17.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Collection unprocessed.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"access\">Access &#038; Use<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This collection requires review by Special Collections staff prior to use by researchers.
