The books chronicle Fitz&#8217;s photographic ad work for many different advertising agencies and manufacturing companies in New York City. Notable companies include N. W. Fitz sold photographic materials up until he became a professional illustrator and advertising photographer in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 1929, Fitz opened a commercial photographic studio in New York City, New York.
