Margaret J. Bennett, a prominent member of Baltimore society, died in 1900 and left $150,000 to start the Margaret J. Bennett Home as a shelter for homeless women; her money supported it for nearly 100 years. The boarding house is located at 14 East Franklin Street in Baltimore, MD.<\/p>\n
