The books chronicle Fitz’s photographic ad work for many different advertising agencies and manufacturing companies in New York City. Notable companies include N. W. Administrative\/Biographical Note<\/h1>\n

Grancel Fitz (1894-1963) began taking photographs as a hobby in 1914, in the pictorialist tradition. Fitz sold photographic materials up until he became a professional illustrator and advertising photographer in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 1929, Fitz opened a commercial photographic studio in New York City, New York. (Source: ULAN)<\/p>\n
