Mark Breeding serves as the Maryland Traditions Archivist, processing folklife materials housed at UMBC in collaboration with Maryland Traditions, the Maryland State Arts Council\u2019s traditional arts program. He received his Bachelor\u2019s degree at UMBC in History with a Minor in Africana Studies and a Master\u2019s Degree in Historical Studies with a specialization in Public History at UMBC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Susan Graham is the Special Collections Librarian at the Albin O. Kuhn Library & Gallery of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), where she works with the photography, popular culture, science fiction, rare books, alternative press, radical literature, and digital collections. She also teaches archival, visual, and information literacy in the Special Collections. She holds B.A.s in Visual Arts (concentration in Photography) and Anthropology from UMBC and obtained her MLS in 2007 from the College of Information Studies at the University of Maryland, College Park. During her graduate studies, she worked as a graduate assistant in the conservation lab and in the Preservation Department of the University of Maryland Libraries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emily Hauver is Curator of Exhibitions in the Library Gallery. She holds a MS in Museum Studies from Johns Hopkins University and a BA in Visual Arts from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. She has curated two exhibitions exploring the paranormal output of Ted Serios: Mind\u2019s Eye: The Psychic Photographs of Ted Serios<\/em> at The Image Centre at Toronto Metropolitan University in 2023 and Psychic Projections\/Photographic Impressions <\/em>at UMBC\u2019s Library Gallery in 2011. Her writing on Serios appears in Ted Serios: The Mind’s Eye<\/em> (Atelier \u00c9ditions, 2023.) Emily’s other curatorial projects are often situated at the intersection of contemporary photography and important social issues of the day, including Louie Palu: Distant Early Warning<\/em> (2022) and Tom Kiefer: El Sue\u00f1o Americano\/The American Dream<\/em> (2019).

Lindsey Loeper has served as the department’s Reference and Instruction Archivist since 2019, previously serving as the Special Collections Archivist since 2007. In this role she coordinates the Special Collections reading room, reference and researcher services, instruction and archival literacy, and serves as the primary student supervisor and coordinator for interns and volunteers. Lindsey received a Bachelor’s Degree in American Studies from UMBC and a Master’s Degree in Library Science from the University of Maryland, College Park with a specialization in Archives, Records, and Information Management. Lindsey is a Certified Archivist, and a member of the Society of American Archivists and the Mid-Atlantic Regional Archives Conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
