Research into psychic phenomena was not exclusive to the English-speaking world. This page contains drawings from an experiment conducted by the Hellenic Society for Psychical Research. It is not clear what the subject of the study is about, but it may have had to do with telepathy, a form of extra sensory perception (or ESP) that refers to the transmission of thoughts from one person to another.
