Borley Rectory Temperature Data

Journal of Society for Psychical Research, February 1948, pg. 181 The page contains a graph and a chart depicting the temperatures dropping at Borley Rectory

One avenue for parapsychology research is on hauntings and poltergeists. This research tested the hypothesis that a “cold spot” was responsible for the Borley Rectory hauntings. The data shows temperatures taken between 1 to 3 A.M. by a thermometer in the air and a thermometer placed on wood. The temperatures appear to decrease at a similar rate until halfway through, the temperature on the wood seems to start levelling out. The air is colder throughout and continues decreasing.
