Being LGBTQ+ at UMBC

UMBC students shared their experiences being LGBTQ+ on campus. Precious Omoniyi shared that she feels supported at UMBC, especially when “being in CSST 485 and seeing people share the same emotions and care about what is happening in this country.” (Excerpt forthcoming.) She also shared her experiences with being a Black student in LGBTQ+ spaces on campus.

Beatrice Irwin shared that she came to UMBC already openly identifying as queer, and that she was comfortable with her identity by the time she arrived.
