Sharing the Past, Building the Future

UMBC’s past—its founding, development, and coming of age—is admirably documented in the holdings of the the University Archives in the Special Collections of the Albin O. Kuhn Library & Gallery, such as the the Albin O. Kuhn Papers, the Stabler Family Papers, the University Photographs holdings, the University Publications collection, the President’s Office Records, and many more. This wealth of historical materials is held in trust to share with all who wish to examine it. The images and stories presented here and the accompanying physical exhibition are not intended as a full history of UMBC, but rather as a reflection on it.
