Administrative/Biographical Note
Dr. Carl G. Baker (1920-2009) was a prominent viral oncology researcher, former director of the National Cancer Institute (NCI) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) from 1969-1972, and a proponent of the National Cancer Act (1971).
