Abstract:Consists of one piece of Chinese paper money called Ta Ming T’ung Hang Pao Ch’ao, or Great Ming General Use Precious Money. It is dated 1375, from the reign of the first Ming Emperor, Hung Wu (1367-1398). Money is printed on blue paper measuring 33.5 X 22 cm.

Item appears to have been bought at auction, as pages from an auction catalog and name/description tag are housed alongside it. Otherwise, accession information is unknown.

Money was housed between tissue paper and acid free board in a folder with other manuscripts and records. Previously assigned Ms. Coll #15.
