Administrative/Biographical Note
The Policy Sciences Graduate Program was founded at UMBC in 1974 as a Master’s degree program, and expanded to include a PhD program in 1978. The program became the Department of Public Policy in 2003. In 2014, the department became the School of Public Policy.
