Charles Jared Ingersoll (1782-1862) was a poet, lawyer, and politician from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Ingersoll was a Democratic member of the U. S. House of Representatives for 4 terms in 3 different Pennsylvania districts between 1813 and 1849.
