The Circulation/DML department is pleased to announce the following additions to our collection: the GoPro HERO13, the Rode Wireless GO II microphone kit + adapter, the Acer USB hub, and the Uni SD card reader.

You can request these models--and many more--through our Equipment Holds Page. They are also available on a first-come, first-served basis at the Digital Media Lab on the 2nd floor. (Note: everything is free to borrow for seven days with your campus card.)

GoPro HERO13 Black Creator Edition

• Creator edition includes microphone + windscreen, light, and combination tripod/remote/power bank
• Three unique formats: photo (27MP), video (up to 5.3K60), and time lapse
• Circulates as a kit in protective case and with bonus quickstart guide

Rode Wireless GO II Microphone Kit

• Kit includes two wireless mics (plus windscreens) and one wireless receiver 
• Dual-channel recording at a range of up to 656 feet
• Easily connect the receiver to a laptop via USB or to cameras with included mic cable

Interview Adapter for Wireless Mic

• An optional adapter that turns a Rode Wireless mic into a handheld device
• Circulates in a convenient carrying case

SD Card Reader

• Plug your SD card directly into your laptop/tablet/phone to transfer files
• Accepts both microSD and SD cards

USB Hub

• Plug multiple devices into one laptop port (USB only)
• Great to use with our Rode podcast microphones

1. Make sure you have Retriever Dollars.

Add them online at campuscard.umbc.edu: 

1. Click 'Add Funds to Your Retriever Card' 
2. Sign in to myUMBC
3. Click on '+Add Funds' and follow the prompts 

Note: You must make a minimum $5 deposit with your credit/debit card. Only Retriever Dollars can be used for printing (not Flex).

Got cash? Add it to your Retriever Card at the Commons Information Center. 


2. Add your document to the print queue.

Go to mobileprint.umbc.edu, sign in with your UMBC credentials*, and upload the file(s). You can adjust print settings such as color/B&W, double/single-sided, and quantity.

*Your username is everything before the @ in your campus email.

3. Release your job at the printer.

There are two ways to print your file:

• Option A: Log in with your UMBC credentials at a print kiosk on the 1st floor and swipe your campus card. (Your username is everything before @ in your campus email.)

• Option B: Scan the QR code on the printer and then click 'print' at the bottom of the page. Pro-tip: if there is no print button, close the mobileprint tab and scan again.

Where are the printers?

There are printers on the 1st floor, 2nd floor by elevators and behind 259, 7th floor, and in the Retriever Learning Center. (And also in the Commons.)

How much is printing?

It’s $0.10 per B&W page and $0.70 per color page.


Who do I go to for help?

If it’s a problem with your Retriever Dollars, contact Campus Card at 443-612-2273 or in UC 112.
If it’s a problem with the printers, logging in, or another issue, visit the Research Help or Circulation desk.
