Margaret J. Bennett, a prominent member of Baltimore society, died in 1900 and left
$150,000 to start the Margaret J. Bennett Home as a shelter for homeless women; her
money supported it for nearly 100 years. The boarding house is located at 14 East
Franklin Street in Baltimore, MD.
Donated by Mettee, it was transferred from 14 East Franklin Street in Baltimore, MD,
the address of the the boarding house.
