Administrative/Biographical Note
Harold A. Williams served as a Baltimore Sun reporter and editor. In 1987 he wrote
a history of the Baltimore Sun to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the paper;
he is also well known for his 1954 book, "Baltimore Afire," about the 1904 fire that
destroyed a large part of downtown Baltimore.

In 1997 Williams donated 7 boxes of archival materials from his work and research
at the Sun, which Tom Beck received and accessioned that same year.
