Archives Month 2013
The Special Collections department of the Albin O. Kuhn Library & Gallery at UMBC is pleased to be celebrating our 4th Annual American Archives Month! This year we're celebrating the history of science with UMBC's Center for Biological Sciences Archives and the American Society for Microbiology's Center for the History of Microbiology, both located in the Library.
All semester long you will be able to view an exhibit prepared by ASM archivist Jeff Karr in the Library Rotunda (on the 1st floor of the Library by the elevators). This exhibit looks at the research and career of Dr. Cornelis B. van Niel, a famed microbiologist most well known for his work with photosynthesis. All of the materials on display are from ASM's archives.
Later this month, Special Collections will be making available a research guide dedicated to the history of science. The guide will be announced on the Library blog and on this page when it is available.
And as always, you can LIKE the Center for Biological Sciences Archives and the American Society for Microbiology on Facebook!
